I'm 53 never married and with no children. I work a lot, but try to relax as much as I can. I love kayaking, hiking, democracy, good/responsible businesses, healthy ecosystems, justice, honest work, my house, my solar panels, my woodstove, and waking up to fair trade organic coffee. Im pretty healthy and strong, yet looking to become much healthier. Hopefully in the next few years work can become optional and I can travel and relax even more. My personal philosophy has 20 beliefs I strive to live by: 1. “Love is the only rational act.” -Stephen Levine 2. We are all teachers, we are all students. We grow and evolve together. 3. Nothing about me, without me. 4. “Make Life Beautiful” from the song Beautiful by Storm Large 5. "Work is love made visible." -The Prophet by Khalil Gibran 6. I can like you, even though I am not like you. We are equals even though we are not alike. -inspired by the book A Wrinkle In Time. 7. The Universe provides. 8. Pain is (often) ignorance leaving the body. -paraphrased from the Tsunami Rangers 9. As you are art, so am I. 10. “Joy is the gift of love, grief is the cost of love, anger protects your love.” -Valarie Kaur 11. “That which is moral is that which feels good, (during and) after.” 12. If you don't heal from those who hurt you, you will bleed on those who didn't cut you. 13. "You can ask for anything in the world that you want, as long as you are willing to accept no for an answer." -Steve the Hippie 14. “Sit with reason, move with passion.” -paraphrasing Kahlil Gibran from The Prophet 15. “Those who have a 'why' to live, can bear with almost any 'how'.” -Viktor Frankl, 16. It doesn't have to be fun, to be fun. -from an unknown rock climber 17. We live in a world where anything is possible. 18. There is pretty much just one question in life to answer, and that is, how do you want to spend your time? -my step father Paul 19. The best way to predict the future, is to create it. -Peter Drucker 20. If you want something you've never had, you gotta do some thing you've never done. -Carlos Anderson, the Minister, from Hope Church After reading all of this, if you think we might be a good match, I look forward to hearing from you.

I am open to pen-pals, friends, dates, and a serious relationship if I meet the right woman. Do you believe in LOVE? Well, I do. It just seems like when someone gets out of a bad relationship, their trust in others goes down and they become uncertain of the notion of LOVE. I would rather die believing in LOVE even if I never find it. I simply want her to eat of my fruit as I eat of hers. There is a balance of enjoyment that needs to come from both sides. A responsibility of honesty shared. With LOVE, a smile just isn't a smile, a touch just isn't a touch and a kiss just isn't a kiss. LOVE places an explanation mark upon everything. We are the carriers of these marks and must use them cautiously. Being cautious and fearful are two different things. The cautious one will allow a respectable approach. The fearful one will allow no approach. If a door is closed, how can anything come in? A toxic heart needs time for healing, not love letters. The number one illness that most people have is Heart Disease. Now, I am not talking about a medical condition, but instead a mental and emotional condition. We ourselves are the killers of our hearts, others just hand us the knives. Shall I milk a cow and never enjoy the milk? We need to know when it is time to move on. Why keep milking from a sick cow and we become part of the sickness? HOPE is everything, yes EVERYTHING. HOPE helps us to stay still and also to move on. It allows us to believe in something that hasn't happened yet. Allows us to believe that something will come to pass. My heart is being nourished with HOPE, therefore toxins are being released and the door is opened. I'm a positive person and desire positive energy in my life. There is no desperation nor a time clock operating in my life. Some things are worth waiting for, but many lack my kind of patience. I can have faith in things I cannot see, things I cannot touch, things I cannot control. Maybe, just maybe I will die single. That however doesn't mean I lacked any faith. I'm enjoying the ride of things to come, the anticipation of future occurrences. Sometimes the most beautiful things in life will come at a time we didn't expect. Sometimes the dessert must be eaten before the meal. The eyes tell so much. They can hold secrets waiting to be unlocked or walls that don't want to be penetrated. They can bring life or death. They can be healing or lead to someone's downfall. They can inspire, motivate and enlighten. They can curse and cause psychological abuse. They can nourish or be venomous. They can show doubt and fear, trust and bravery. Innocence can also be seen, a certain rare purity that some with ill-gotten motives can't wait to trample upon. Creating just another victim of the cruelty of others. Be careful of the female and male Medusas of the world. Keep your sword and shield near by at all times. Don't let your guard down not even for a moment. The seduction can be strong, leaving you standing there frozen in time. You will be left with the ability to move, you just won't feel like it.
