The Pina Colada song.
Rupert Holmes released the Pina Colada Song in 1979 a year after I finished high school. I remember going to the famous Burbon and Beefsteak (restaurant and night club) in Kings Cross Sydney, late at night in the early 80s and ordering a Pina Colada drink to find out what it tasted like. It came in a huge cocktail glass the size of a breakfast bowl and cost $20 which was a lot in 80s but since it was about 4 normal drinks in volume, it wasn't too bad. Going to the Bourbon and Beef in the small hours to buy a Pina Colada or three became my tradition when a relationship ended. Listening to the Pina Colada song would bring a tear or two to my eyes wondering why that kind of love only seems to happen in movies and songs. Of course the story of the song never worked out for me. But the point it makes resonates. If you're like me and would like to have a soulmate who you can totally trust and can share every thought, feeling and life experience with, both good and bad. If you're sick of people taking advantage of your honest approach to relationships, and would like to be able to relax with someone knowing there's no risk of waking up one day to find a knife stuck in your back. If you like what you read then maybe you will be the one i tell i love every day, at some point in the future! haha I am also trying to save your time, there are so many here and it takes so long chatting to get to know some very basic information about a contact, so i will save a week or two and give it to you now. I hope i start a trend here! haha Firstly, I am looking for a serious relationship which will lead to marriage, not interested in games or scammers thanks, I have a lot of varied life experiences and I am reasonably good at picking untrustworthy behaviour. Including stolen/fake pictures, so please don’t bother. And I will not send money or anything else to someone I have never met. Second, I am here to find someone I am compatible with so I am going to be blunt, to save time now or future. I am not here looking for someone too much younger, age for me and money or background do not matter too much. My partying days are long behind me haha but I am young for my age. I am open minded and “cautiously optimistic”. I think I am romantic and funny at times but i guess that is an individual taste kind of thing. I am very loyal, I have and will not cheat and will always support and encourage my partner and I expect the same. Future, and past. Trust is very important to me and someone who is just being themselves, like it or not. You be you and I'll be me and if we don't like each other then at least we won't waste time in our search. I love dogs, don’t like cats. I am fit and healthy and enjoy gardening, cooking (and eating!), I can ride a horse and motorbike, drive a boat and car. I enjoy learning new things and new experiences (but i have my limits!) and believe variety is the spice of life in most things, but not all! I don't gamble and only drink on special occasions and usually only one or two. I am not poor but I currently do not own a house, I have been single for a long time and I have been investing for my future in other ways so if a future partner must have a house before getting together then sorry, but I will only change my financial strategy when/if I find a serious relationship. I like kids and they seem to like me but unless you are financially independent then sorry to say but I am also not really interested in the time and expense of raising someone else’s children, (especially if I was able to have one of my own as well!) not to mention the added complication in a relationship so if you have children (that live at home) and are not interested in having more then I am not the one for you. I do not mind if my future partner does not want children but if possible I might like to have one or two. I love getting out of the city (I grew up in a rural area) maybe to visit the beach or hike in the mountains, also camping and fishing or a picnic beside a river or lake. I also enjoy quiet time (especially in winter!) reading or watching movies on the couch, winter is also the time for some fun in the snow which is a three hour drive away. I also enjoy visiting museums and galleries etc as well as eating out maybe followed by a walk along the river in my city or a drink or two at a bar. So you made it this far! Great!
