My boredom threshold is low - so I am not the type of person to sit quietly in a pub for three hours listening to people that seem to have nothing new or interesting to say or slowly broil myself on a beach for hours. My income is small by Irish and New Zealand standards but I am relatively rich compared to the net worth of the typical inhabitants of 187 other countries and all Asian countries (with the exception of Singapore) with a small but regular pension. George is not my real name (which is horribly Irish) but it is the name that even my first wife called me (and my two adult children still call me since they do not speak Irish and my real name is rather difficult for non-Irish speakers to either spell or pronounce correctly). I'm 6 feet tall, still overweight now even after my first (and only) wife dumped me years ago (my estranged first wife is a fantastic cook). I think unhappiness and loneliness makes some people like me over-eat for comfort but I hope that when I find someone to love and be loved by again I can drastically reduce my calorie intake and increase its quality. The whole process is taking longer than I hoped and I’ve recently been diagnosed with diabetes but I don’t yet have to inject insulin. I didn’t feel any of the existing “Body type” categories of “Petite, Slim, Athletic, Few Extra Pounds, Full Figured” were accurate (and instead of “Large and Lovely”, I am Fat and Ugly). Since most western men of my age seem to be seriously overweight, I have been cheeky enough to hit the radio button labelled “Average” ! I still have almost a full mouth of teeth (many of them implants) and a full head of (my own grey) hair. I hate tobacco smoke and don't gamble. I do like to drink a glass or two of Trockenbeerenauslese or Eiswein vintages 2 or 3 times a year at Christmas, New Year and my birthday in June - but have to be careful I don't fall down drunk afterwards since I have a very low alcohol tolerance. I already have 2 adult children resident in New Zealand and believe it would be irresponsible to sire more children at my age - but I might be persuaded if I could be convinced it was not a bad thing to do. Nevertheless I am not a Roman Catholic and would still like marital relations two or three times a week for our mutual pleasure and bonding rather than procreation. Unusually for Ireland, I was raised as an Anglican (rather than as a Roman Catholic) but I am no longer a believer (although I was always the one in our family that tried to get us to attend church services together since I enjoy the ceremony and stability of services - but find Christianity an impossible counsel of perfection). I'm not very domesticated and I don't cook (except in the field on a campfire) but I don't expect people to clear up after me. Any relationship requires good communication and trust, especially a marriage, and my first wife has refused for many months now - since August 2022 - to take the minimum ACTIONS to restore trust or follow simple rules for effective communication. Consequently we have been judicially separated for several years and I am now prepared to divorce her (more than 26 years after we first met in July 1998). I am on this site to try and restore my happiness with someone that is able to actually keep their promises and not lie to me and actively attempt to deceive me about extra marital affairs (and other matters) much of the time. Because of my first wife's multiple breaches of her marriage vows and the fact that we have already been judicially separated for many more than the required minimum of 2 years and living apart in different countries for many years, I can now obtain a divorce very quickly in either Ireland or New Zealand (and even if my first wife reneges on yet another promise and illogically opposes the natural consequence of her cheating behaviours). I prefer women that don't use cosmetics since some of the chemicals upset my nostrils. I've visited most of the countries of Asia (except for Bhutan, the DPRK, Mongolia and Sri Lanka) and know that most inhabitants of Asia are more hygienic than I am - so my overly sensitive nose shouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately I do NOT speak or understand any of the languages of Asia apart from English. (I can also understand French and German)
