It was in the 6 months’ time in the UK that I spent maybe the most enjoyable time of my life ever, because such serenity of nature close to the neighborhood, people’s respect of each other, and the feeling of freedom are hard won in my homeland. I worked as an English-Chinese translator for aircraft manuals in a Chinese aircraft company since I graduated, and was assigned to its overseas representative office in Jakarta, Indonesia two years ago as an administrator. I think I will probably stay here for two years before going back to China if nothing special happens unless a good partner pops up anywhere in the world, who knows ^-^. I love reading, writing and hiking a lot, and have ever worked as a part-time hiking tour guide fortwo years in traveling to different hills and mountains in China. The fresh air, cool wind, diverse sceneries and physical exhaustion always heal everything. Besides, I like learning things that are broad and profound, such as philosophy and psychology. To explore the most hidden and deepest part of human heart and know why, just think about it! I want a fulfilling life, a life where I can give my values and what I’m good at to full play. Just relying on the husband to live my life and raise children at home is definitely not what I want in a long term. As I have ever experienced differences of eastern and western culture, I know each one has their own advantages and disadvantages, just shown in different aspects. Yet what’s more important is that they also have a lot in common such as people’s wellbeing and the pursuit of happiness, which is the essence beyond the superficial differences. As the world is so abundant because of such people from different origins of culture, why can’t I make my life better experience in the same way by spending the rest of my life with a person from a different culture!! Seeking common ground and respecting differences, and enjoying the sparks in between, such is the beginning and whereabouts of me trying to find a good foreign person to spend the rest of my life with.
